Baia
I’ve been a photographer for 16 years, drawn early on to observing people, movement, and the spaces we inhabit. Photography is not just what I do but how I understand the world as it evolves through people, gestures, and moments in between.
My journey began with candid photography: documenting cities, streets, and the people I encountered during long walks and spontaneous adventures. That curiosity eventually led me to Oakland, where I discovered vibrant dance communities rooted in house, breaking, jazz, and other forms of hip-hop and contemporary movements. From attending jams and getting to know dancers on a community level, photography and my love for dance became a bridge to be apart of these spaces.
From there, I built a dedicated body of work photographing dancers inside dancer events; battles, showcases, and other video projects, collaborating closely with artists to honor their movement, energy, and stories.
Today, still based in the Bay Area, I’m in a season of growth, rebranding and reshaping my business as I continue my education in the arts. My focus has expanded toward working with professionals and creatives who have a clear vision for their brand or artistic expression, especially those who want to share their work through photography and even videography.
I love working with people in creating images that feel intentional, empowering, and true.
Alongside client work, I’m also excited to grow my print offerings, sharing my nature and city photography as fine art pieces meant to live in homes and personal spaces.
If you value collaboration, clarity, and imagery that feels honest and thoughtfully crafted, I’d love to work with you.
